Metropolitan Bouliac masterplan
From a generic site standardized by the Hyper Market and its major challenges linked to the car, the project anchors a new paradigm which wishes to initiate new practices, where the time for leisure, well-being and good eating are new matrices at the Bouliac site.
In order to offer a new identity to the site, the project aims to re-define places on the plain with new activities promoting the emergence of real living spaces. These places participate in an urban strategy which aims to reweave the territory while amplifying the pre-existing geographic invariants of the site. The architectural guide proposed helps frame the unknowns of time; presented in the form of a frame, sometimes built, sometimes in a prefigured manner, it can then appear as a gallery, a landscape, a facade or even a crossing. The architectural strategy allows sequencing that is not dependent on the next phase. Each stage or phase has its own characteristics and proposes a mutation of the territory which is not dependent on its previous phase. The entire project aims to build a living center and technology-oriented shopping malls while enhancing actual relationships. By setting up an active diagonal - territorial, relational, commercial anchoring that re-engages all scales - the project wishes to magnify the site's unique potentials by positive contamination.
This metropolitan act wishes to re-articulate the love of the large scale and finally offer the Bouliac Plain the opportunity to organize an entrance to the Metropolis. We call the project Metropolitan Bouliac.
With its new status, making it more readable and accessible, the plain is like a new garden on the scale of the metropolis. Evolving from a generic site to a unique and productive project, the guide plan of Bouliac has risen to the level of major urban operations in the region, imagining shopping as the experience of the 21st century.
