Bordeaux St. Christoly
To bring new value to the commercial space in its current central location, the windows had to express a new identity, and react to its context. The play between reflections, light and transparencies, establishes a complex set of relationships between the street and the commercial spaces. The new windows bring to light the characteristics of the existing architecture, at the same time as a new expression takes shape.
On the interior the strategy is to uncover the layers of history, leaving only the concrete structure. This allows for higher ceilings and a spatial play between the levels.
