Bordeaux conference and exhibition centre
After the «heroic» linear PEX in Bordeaux of the Modern Period, we wanted to offer an addition to it that would embed all architectural fragments (successive extensions) that constitutes its essence.
The design is driven by the following key considerations: to create a modern intervention: a «multiple machinery», allowing to adapt to all kind of events (simultaneous or successive) and instead making an addition to the existing halls, to offer a device that reconnects with the history of the place and to suggest a building at the interface between city and the actual exhibition space /convention center.
The project is rather an urban staple, trying to engage the urbanity progressively growing around. The new PEX is part of the city, it is transparent, efficient and coordinates the history of the site.
