From the original unknown #process of designing a very simple table, almost insipid ….. to an actual #bridge under construction …

Lot of emotions.

I was digging in archives and found back this FAX from September 2nd 2012 as a correspondence to my OMA team while designing the #simonedebeauvoir #bridge.
A time where the machine could translate or invent new forms of language…

“The design is kept to the simplest expression, the least technical, the least lyrical, in fact an almost primitive structural solution. The bridge is conceived not to be an event in the city but actually a place to promote the events in the city. From an overdose of formal gesticulation, I wanted to propose a robust “plateau” that would last and contribute to unify the right and left river banks. ” #clementblanchet
